Serve as Accounting Assistant providing support for the accounting department.
Essential Position
Responsibilities:
Key journal entries.
Update monthly spreadsheets Assist with monthly close process, including data entry.
Assist with annual audit.
Cross-train and support accounting functions to include Billing, Accounts Payable, and Cash Receipts.
Special projects as needed.
Assist Controller as needed.
Other duties as assigned to meet company needs.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Detail and deadline oriented.
Self starter Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Take ownership and pride in work.
Education and
Experience:
Intermediate knowledge and experience with Excel.
Experience with accounting software and data entry.
Familiarity with accounting rules and procedures including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
